Black Girls Are Ready for Immersion?
Immersion: One Night for One World is an annual fund and friend-raiser for International Partners in Mission (IPM), a local group dedicated to connecting indigenous communities with individuals, families, congregations, academic institutions, and corporations seeking global engagement as a means to give and learn.
Clevelanders and IPM supporters from around the world will celebrate October 5 from 6-9 p.m. at the Ariel International Conference Center, one of my favorite spaces in Cleveland with some of the best views of Lake Erie and the Cleveland Skyline.
Join IPM to celebrate their work in India and honor those who are committed to global partnerships building justice, peace, and hope around the world. 2017 Honorees include:
Richard E. Sering Award- Saint Noel Church, Willoughby Hills, OH
David N. Westcott Outstanding Volunteer Award- Sue Stewart
Kathleen T. Mink Project Partner Award-Pochabhai Foundation, INDIA
Enjoy locally prepared hors d’oeuvres, handcrafted cocktails, a silent auction, and raffle. Last year I had a fabulous time and I’m looking forward to celebrating with IPM because I believe in their cause and their immersion experience program. Since 2004, IPM has provided more than 1900 immersion experiences. 2017 Immersion Experiences are open to the public and travel to Nepal, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and India.
