This boutique on Mayfield has become my go-to destination for accessories. I especially love their statement necklaces. I’ve bought 5 since I learned about them last year on Instagram. They have reasonable prices and always new stock. Oh, and they have adorable clothing too!

I was so excited when I found out that one of my favorite restaurants would be coming to the east side. Not that I don’t like going to Westlake to eat here, it’s just convenient to roll around the corner to partake in the delicious, healthy, comfort food at Sweet Melissa’s. Their weekend brunch is a favorite. For Beginnings, try the brussel sprouts. Salads, try the hummus dish. Main plate, try the pistachio encrusted grouper. Vegetarian options available.

I’d ride past Juma everyday, but never stopped to check it out. Then the renovations happened and it made me even more curious. I’d see people outside chatting over coffee so I had to check it out. It’s now my remote office in addition to a small coffee shop, art gallery, and boutique. I have my eye on a vest that I spotted recently in the boutique. I’ll let you know if I decide to buy it.

If you like authentic cajun food, please eat at Battiste and Dupree. It’s a quaint space, but the food is everything. The menu includes a variety of cajun entrees from jambalaya, fried catfish, New Orleans barbeque shrimp, and po boys. Junior’s polish boy and Hurricane isn’t that bad either.

My first taste of CLE Urban Winery was a book signing event a couple of months ago. That’s when I fell in love with both the space and the wine, especially the blackberry merlot. It’s a casual, comfortable vibe at the bar as well as the lounge area that can be reserved for a small group. You can play board games and bring in outside food.
