CLEVELAND (AP) — The Cuyahoga County Office of Reentry, in partnership with local nonprofits and community allies, announces the commencement of Reentry Week 2024: Returning Home. Creating Wellness. Rebuilding Community. This annual initiative is dedicated to shedding light on the hurdles faced by justice-involved individuals and their families while furnishing crucial support for their successful reintegration into society.
“Reentry Week will serve as a lifeline for individuals and families grappling with the complexities of reentry, while also spotlighting the resilience and capabilities of those seeking a second chance,” stated Simeon Best, Director of the Cuyahoga County Office of Reentry. “It’s a time for our community to rally together and uplift those transitioning from incarceration, empowering them to effect positive change in their lives and contribute meaningfully to our shared well-being.”
Reentry Week 2024 boasts an array of events tailored to address multifaceted facets of the reentry journey. Among these are:
