Black Girls Smoke Cigars?
Have you ever wanted to know what it’s like inside a cigar lounge and what men really do in there? Or would you fit in or know what to do?
Luckily, I answer all of these questions for you and more in this post.
This week I spent time at the Shaker Cigar on Lee Road in Shaker Heights. My experience was actually better than I thought it would be and let me tell you why.
Great Customer Service!
I had no idea what kind of cigar I wanted or how to pick one out. But when I walked in, I was immediately greeted by Phil, one of the owners, who explained how it all works. He gave me a tour of the cigar room, the place where all the cigars are neatly stored. He also pointed me in the right direction based off of my personal preferences. Which brings me to my next and most important point.
This literally blew my mind because I didn’t know female cigars even existed. They are smaller and easier to smoke than the larger stoagies.
Phil gave me several options which were narrowed down to his suggestion of something with hints of vanilla and cocoa.
Whether you like fruity flavors or more traditional Cuban style cigars, there’s something for everyone.
Trust me, you’ll have fun discovering the right cigar for you!
After I picked my cigar and had it cut, I embarked into the room. A few men were there and to my surprise, a few women as well. Set up like a lounge, with a few tables (one set up with a chess set), comfy leather seats, and two TV’s, it was a really dope vibe. I see why men like cigar lounges. There’s a comfy feeling of being at home, a great place to just to chill, talk, and unwind from a long day.
I felt like I discovered a secret place that I needed to share with you. Do you want to learn about cigars too?
Join us here, Shaker Cigar, February 22nd at 6:30 pm for Black Girl in the CLE Sip and Smoke event where we’re pairing wine from the CLE Urban Winery with cigars for a unique sampling experience. Get your tickets now!
Here are a few more things to keep in mind when you come.
It is a smoke lounge so you and everything you bring with you, including your hair, will smell like smoke. Please dress accordingly and make those hair appointments for Friday, Sis.
If you have asthma or any other respiratory condition, this is NOT the event for you. Feel free to join us for another event that won’t cause complications for you. Stay healthy, Sis.
This is a women-only event curated to give you a safe space to try something new in a setting that is not typically open to women. But after the event, the men will be allowed in so feel free to mix and mingle or leave if you want.
While we’ll have wine pairings for this event, Shaker Cigar is strictly BYOB, something to remember the next time you come.
I hope this answered some questions and stirred some curiosity. We look forward to seeing you and introducing you to something new. Don’t forget to get your tickets today!
See you February 22nd!
Peace and Love,
